The current planned studies in TERRA focus on soil processes, microbial communities (strong emphasis on mycorrhizal associations), plant litter decomposition and plant N uptake. Many other exciting research questions remain unexplored!
Future directions could explore the interactive effects of goose grubbing and climate change on plant phenology and seed production, plant C and N based secondary compounds and longer-term shift in plant community composition.
